Thank you to all the patrons who supported Post 111's meat shoots, and to all the post members who helped at the 7 meat shoot this seasons. We were able to raise a substantial amount of money to continue supporting veterans and other organizations in our area. We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2020!

Post 111 American Legion recently recognized Kyle Balthasar and Andrew Spilker of the City of Shrewsbury Fire Protection District as its Firefighters of the year. Balthasar and Spilker were recognized for their untiring dedication and service to the Shrewsbury community as members of the fire protection district. Post Commander Steve Dodson presented Balthasar and Spilker with a certificate of recognition and a gift card. December 5, 2018 Mr. John Atkins (98 years old) was the guest speaker at the American Legion Post 111, Shrewsbury, MO. Mr. Atkins spoke about his experience while serving aboard the USS MISSOURI battle ship. Atkins was on board ship September 2, 1945 when Japan surrendered and signed the Armistice which ended WWII.
